Hi, my name is Dani and I am the seamstress behind Danimae Designs and Alterations.

I have a degree in Fashion Design with Textiles from The University of Huddersfield and was first introduced to the world of alterations during my placement year. I now have several years experience working in Bridal alterations having worked on and off for another local seamstress over the years.

​

After finishing my degree, I worked in corporate fashion in London before the COVID pandemic brought me back home to Yorkshire. I spent a few years as a teacher before I reminded myself that working with clothes is where I belong and it was time to realise my lifelong dream of working for myself.

My first year of business was spent in Brighouse in my little makeshift studio in the back of my Dad's dry cleaning business. Whilst I am forever grateful for the opportunity to grow my business without extra overheads, I always dreamed of having my own space. In March of 2025, I opened up my very own studio in the Byram Arcade, Huddersfield.

At Danimae Designs and Alterations you will always receive a friendly and professional service. My aim is to make sure that everyone leaves my studio after a fitting feeling comfortable and confident that their alterations are in good hands.
